His path prior to Hollow Bones included conservative Lutheranism, frequent existential crises, colorful life choices, and a long stint of being a jerk. None of that was working out terribly well, though. He now maintains an occult practice alongside his zen practice and has mostly gotten over the being a jerk thing.
Professionally, he writes and works in regulatory compliance, training, process improvement and project facilitation. He has a B.A. in Classical Civilization and English from Lawrence University and does not particularly enjoy soft bread.
He does particularly enjoy people in general, writing and organizing, tabletop and computer gaming, crocheting, pens and paper, books, his extremely patient husband, and their assortment of dogs/cat/doves/chickens/etc.
