Actualizing the Elephant Path
A Teaching on the Mind Illuminated
Sundays, September 6 – October 25
10.30 am – 11:15 am CT
Led by Emyo Darlene Tataryn
This teaching offers a clear, step-by-step journey toward a calm, focused, and illuminated mind. Together, we learn to gently tame the “mind” and train our attention just as one would train a wild elephant, with patience, kindness, and appreciation.

Drawing from the ancient Elephant Path of shamatha (calm abiding) meditation as originally taught by the Indian master Asanga, and adapted for modern life in Culadasa’s book The Mind Illuminated, this 8-week course provides a guide to stable attention, vivid mindful awareness, and genuine inner peace.
Whether you’re just beginning and struggling in your practice, or you’ve been practicing for some time, you will have opportunity to discover practical techniques to understand how the mind operates. This helps in our ability to collect and unify the mind. Many people experience greater concentration, emotional balance, reduced stress, and a quiet clarity that begins to flow naturally into daily life.
This is a supportive, progressive training where we walk the Elephant Path together toward Samatha, a beautiful state of unified, joyful, and equanimous awareness.
